Its hard to find either nice ‘generic’ info on the practice of project automation or project automation for anything other than Java. Being an agile practice, you’d think there’d me some focus on this aspect of development for those using PHP, Ruby, Python, etc.

How much of this book could I apply to my own non-java development?

I have downloaded the source zip file for window
and
.tgz for Unix and found out the content of these two files
are totally different.

Do you have the same discovery ? what’s happening ?

Check the www.pragmaticautomation.com website that was listed in the book. You should see a link to a zip of that code in the ‘09 Nov 07’ post.
